Pumpkin Liqueur Ice Cream

purenoumena May 9, 2012

We received an ice cream maker for a wedding gift. It's the best/worst/best thing ever.

Tonight I made more ice cream out of what I thought would be awesome.

And it was.

Here's the recipe.

Pumpkin Liqueur Ice Cream

Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk (I used skim because that's what we usually keep around, and it was fine)
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • vanilla (to taste)
  • instant espresso or coffee (1-2 teaspoons/to taste)
  • pumpkin liqueur (1/4 cup / to taste)

Instructions In a medium bowl, mix together milk, coffee, vanilla, and sugar with a whisk or hand mixer. Mix for 1-2 minutes until the sugar is dissolved. I use baker's sugar so this goes by quickly.

Add cream, stir.

Add liqueur, stir just enough to mix.

Slowly pour mixture into ice cream maker and let churn 20 minutes. After mixing, freeze for a few hours to set.

Enjoy!
